This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 3 CE credits. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to name the limitations to individual therapy.
SC1. Theory and methods of personal/individual counseling
By the end of this session, participants will be able to predict different ways to approach therapy with sex workers including identifying the strengths and advantages of involving the community in the therapy process.
SC2. Theory and methods of sexuality counseling approaches to specific populations (e.g., youth, older adults, couples, LGBTQ people, people with disabilities, ethnic/ cultural/ faith-based populations)
By the end of this session, participants will be able to name two strategies for supporting sex workers in building community and accessing mutual aid.
