Kayla firmly believes that genuine connection forms the bedrock of any therapeutic relationship. Drawing on the profound bond between the therapist and the client(s), Kayla is dedicated to creating a safe and courageous space in which clients can explore, discover, and reconnect with their true selves.

Kayla's multicultural upbringing and diverse backgrounds have equipped her with a unique lens that encompasses multiculturalism, intersectionality, and the experience of marginalization. Originally growing up in Shanxi, China, she came to the United States for her college education. Her personal journey involved navigating the intricacies of transitioning between different cultures and the process of forging and understanding cultural identities.

Kayla has always maintained the belief that differences should be celebrated as strengths, and she is committed to offering a welcoming space for each client to embrace and honor their own cultural heritage. In Kayla’s therapeutic practice, she provides therapy in both English and Mandarin. She offers individual, couples, and family therapy, all viewed through a systemic lens that is against oppression.

Kayla places a premium on fostering creativity within the therapeutic space, integrating art-related practices rooted in her own background in ceramic artistry.
